Dear friend
Both the exams are the top most exams of India.
You will have to be aimed for only one because if you will look for both you are not going to get any one.
So choose only one that will be better for you.

All the best.

hi..the examinations cat and the Indian administration examinations are probably the two of the toughest examinations in the whole world and you are planning to prepare for them together which is probably an unbelievable task and its sure going to be an disaster and you would not do good in any one of them for sure .
any person can not be successful by standing on two boats at once ,and you are planning to do the same,so my advice for you would be to concentrate on any one of the exam and give it your best ,if you do so your probability of succeeding will be far higher than what it would be if you are preparing for the both examinations together ,
also let me tell you that if you are doing well in the both examinations then probably you would be the smartest person in the country because there are cases that some of the best and the smartest persons in the country have not been able to clear even one of the ias or the cat examinations .
you may be thinking that even the ias and the cat examinations are having the aptitude paper as common but what you are neglecting is the fact that the aptitude paper of the ias examination is no match for the cat examinations and in the ias examination the main part is not the preliminary exam but the mains part of the paper which is very tough and requires extensive preparation

Hi

YES sure you can prepare both for the IAS as well as the CAT.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service. This is an entrance which is organized by the UPSC every year to select candidates for the various Administrative services.

The minimum criteria is that you should be a graduate in ANY stream and your age should be between 21-30 years for GEN and other relaxed age limits of 33 and 35 FOR THE OBC/SC/ST ..

Now CAT - Common Admission Test. This is an entrance conduced by the IIM's every year to select candidates for the MBA course for post graduation.

However the course for the IAS is selected different which would be related to the main subject that you choose of your graduation, the CAT exam and other MBA Entrance are based on the Aptitude test.
So you have to maintain a balance in between both the preparations.

But sure you can apply for the CAT, as well as the IAS at a time as you are eligible for both.

Hope this helps

All the best

Yes, You can Prepare for IAS and CAT Entrance examination in simultaneously. But both Examination is different.

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service Exam this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for once per year.

CAT stands for Common Admission Test Exam. This examination is conducted by Indian Institute of Management and this examination is conducted by Every year. The Main purpose of CAT exam is to take admit the student in good university's for MBA course.

Hello Friend,

You can prepare for both CAT and IAS simultaneously. Nobody will stop will

from doing that. But, with all due respect, if you are aiming for both then

there are high chances that you end up not gettin any of the two. It will be

advisable for you to select one of the two options and then go full throttle at

it rather than slog for both without being effective. You should be confident

of your chances rather than being conservative. Think what you want, where

you can do well and which one of the two you have more chances of

succeeding. Both these two exams are toughest exams in the country and

there are people who prepare for years without getting success. So you

should respect that and try to compete in just one of CAT or IAS.

Both are tough exams to crack, but both have different challenges to face.
CAT attracts huge number of students, but simultaneously has huge number of seats too.
IAS on the other hand, attracts many students, but has less number of seats.

HELLO!!

CAT which is Common Entrance Test is conducted for the admission in the management programs(postgraduate) by which one can get admission in the IIM'S And other management institutes which accept CAT Scores........

SCOPE For CAT

cat is the most toughest management exams held in india..also dis is the most difficult but yes package is also high in this....but its not so easy to crack dis exam it requires intelligence and IQ aqnd also temprament which are the most essential parts....

scope after CAT is very large because of the package the passouts get.....
hence scope is also very large.....

---------------------------------------------------------------------

IAS Which is indian admuinistrative services is the most diifficult exam in india by which one can be an administrative officer in india...hence this is surely the thoghest part......which one requires.....

although the difficuylty is more with IAS hence think accordingly....and decide your goal....with both you will get large mony but to get more power take IAS but none of them is so easy..............

hope this helped................

with regards

You can prepare for both the exams simultaneously but since both the exam is quite tough so its advisable to concentrate in one thing at a time.

If you try for both the exam then you will end up getting none of the above.

So first ask yourself which one exactly you badly want and prepare for that accordingly.

Good luck dear

Hi please suggest me an answer.
I want to prepare for ias 2016 for which j have already started my preparation in june 2015. But now at the same side one should always have a backup while preparaing for ias exam..so I am thinking of giving any cmat 2015 or snap exam by devoting 2 3hrs to their syllabus. And mba classes would be staring in aug 2016. But I wil get admission in any average college before only...and can concentrate completely on ias as one just has to devote one day for gd pi and all....
In august I wll be giving my prelims of ias and if I clear that I can take 2 months leave for Mains from my mba......
I can drop a year for ias prep. As even if I drop next year again I wl have to give mba entrances that too at the time for ias Mains.
I consequently can't prepare for complete 2 years for ias as If somehow I don't clear ias after that doing mba will not be worth. And i dont want to go for ssc and all....
plus if I start preparing for ias after mba it wl be too too late..
please please advice me....
