Sir, can one give IAS,IPS and IES exam simultaneously same time in the same year? I mean are they different exams or the same?

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services
IPS Stands for Indian Police Services
IES stands for Indian Engineering services.

IAS/IPS comes under Civil services examination and to become IAS/IPS Officer, you have to apply and cracked this examination, the examination is conducted by UPSC Every year in 2 stages, preliminary examination and Main examination, But you have to cracked the Preliminary examination first, only then you will be able to cracked this examination.

To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised university and your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination.

IES Examination is different, but the examination is conducted by UPSC Only and to apply for this examination, you have to complete your Engineering degree course in any one of the subjects:

## Electrical Engineering
## Electronics & Communications Engineering
## Civil Engineering
## Mechanical Engineering

To apply for this examination you must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years, Relaxation in age limit is there for candidates belonging to certain reserved categories.

IPS stands for indian police service which is conducted by upsc.

ELIGIBLITY:-
Graduation from a recognized board
Age limit is 21-30
You must be indian citizen.
IES exam stands indian engineering service which is also conducted by upsc.
For I.E.S the candidate must opt one one branch in following:-
1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Age limit is 21-30 year.

IAS exam stands for indian administrive service which is also conducted by upsc.
Eligibility criteria :-
The applicant should be citizen of India .
The applicant should complete graduation in any stream like B.com / B.A / BBA from recognized university . Institution .
The applicant age should be 21 years to 30 years and relaxation is given for :-
SC/ST candidates for 5 years
OBC candidates for 3 years
Physically challenged candidates for 10 years
The applicant can apply for attempt examination like
General candidates for 4 times
OBC candidates for 7 times
SC/ST candidates for No limit .
To crack the IAS examination then you refer the books like Physical Geography by Strahler & Strahler / District administration by M.P. Narwan etc You should have to good knowledge in Indian Economic system and History and current affairs.

IAS and IPS exam is the same whereas IES is different. In case you are engineer, you are entitled for the exams. However, you can appear in the both the exam same year
