Yes you can prepare for IAS exam simultaneously. It will be very much useful for you once you completed B.Tech .
First of all you have to decide you subject of interest. You have to choose one optional subject. Various Optional subjects are: 1.Botany 2.chemistry 3.Economics 4.civil Engineering 5.Geology 6.Agriculture 7.Public Administration 8.Statistics 9.Law 10.Zoology and etc. So choose your Optional subjects as well and start preparing. There are also various institutions where you can go for training as well. Because they conduct lot of model exams and they prepare you for Personal Interview . All the Best. |

While joining B.Tech. First year you can simultaneously prepare for Civil Service Exam as this exam is very tough and competitive, it needs an early preparation along with your regular studies of Graduation. But it is equally important to complete Graduation Degree thoroughly so that when you sit for Civil Service Exam, it will be easier to you regarding choice of optional papers.
After completion of regular Graduation course at least one year rigorous preparation is must to crack Civil Service Exam. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |
