You can definitely apply for the Bank PO as well Indian Administrative Service. If you manages to complete post graduation with 55 percent marks, it would also make you eligible for the National Eligibility Test for lectureship.

You first need to decide which is your preference. I am writing down the criteria for all the three mentioned above.


IAS Eligibility

1. You should have Indian citizenship for Civil Services Examination.

2. A graduation degree in any discipline is sufficient enough.

3. Passing marks is all you need in graduation.

4. Age should have crossed 21 years to apply.

5. Should be below 30 years to apply for it.

6. Although there is 3 years relaxation in upper age for OBC.

7. The relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST.


Bank PO Eligibility

The Institute of Banking Personnel Services conducts the Bank PO entrance exam. It will conduct the next exam in August/September of this year. If interested you can apply for it.

1. Your nationality should be Indian.

2. Bachelor's degree from a recognized college.

3. Minimum of 60 percent marks in it.

4. There is requirement of certificate in Computers operating skills.

5. Candidates who studied Computer Science in School or college can also apply.

6. Age limit for exam is 20 to 28 years.

7. Relaxation is 3 years for OBC.

8. The relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST.

9. PWD can take admission up 38 years.


National Eligibility Test

Please remember that you can apply for National Eligibility Test after finishing post graduation. It is conducted by the University Grants Commission for JRF and college lectureship.

You can become lecturer in central government college by clearing the entrance exam. Here is the criteria which you must meet.


NET Eligibility

1. You will have to complete post graduation.

2. Can also appear during the final year.

3. However in that condition should meet the percentage upon completing of course and submit degree in 2 years of clearing the NET.

4. Must secure 55 percent or more marks to apply for exam.

5. You will need 50 percent marks if belongs to SC/ST.

6. There is no relaxation for OBC.

7. You subject will depend of post graduation course.

8. Age should be less than 28 years to apply for JRF.

9. OBC can apply for JRF up to 31 years.

10. SC/ST are eligible up to 33 years.

11. For lectureship your age should at least be 19 years.

12. There is no upper age limit.

YES, you can apply for both BANK PO and UPSC Civil services Exams
For the IAS post you need to give the UPSC Civil Services Exams



IBPS will be conducting the Common written exams which will be held in online mode for 20 Government banks for the PO posts

You can fill the forms from the website www.ibps.in

Forms will be filled from 22nd July 2013
Last date to apply is 12th August 2013


Education: Graduation pass in any stream

Age
Minimum 20 years
Maximum 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


UPSC Civil Services Exams

Education: Graduation pass in any stream from a recognized university
No minimum percentage of marks is required in Graduation

Age- Minimum 21 years

As you have maintained that you have completed your graduation So you can apply for IAS. I am giving you the eligibility criteria for IAS.

1. You should have Indian citizenship for Civil Services Examination.

Its nice to see that you are aspiring to become an IAS officer.

IAS is commonly known as Indian Administrative Services.
To become an IAs officer you need to clear UPSC Civil Services Examination.

You can sit for the exam provided you follow the eligibility norms:

** You must have completed your graduation in any stream.

** Final year candidates may also apply.

** Your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

There is age relaxation given for reserved categories.
SC/ST- 5 yrs
OBC- 3 yrs
PH- 10 yrs

Number of attempts:

4 in case of general
7 in case of OBC &
unlimited in case of SC/ST till they attain the age of 35 years.

There are 3 stages of examination:
Preliminary
Mains
Interview

According to latest pattern Preliminary exam is known as CSAT.

You have 2 papers in this:
General awareness
Aptitude test

If you fulfill these requirements you can fil the aplication form. Civil services exam is held every year.

As you have completed Graduation and pursing Post Graduation Degree, now you are eligible for both IAS and Bank P.O.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service and to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply for IAS, Civil Service Exam.

The eligible candidate aspiring for Bank P.O. exam conducted by SBI/IBPS/Other Private Banks, must be an Indian national having completed Graduation Degree or above with or without percentage of marks in Graduation, from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good knowledge over computer operation, can apply for bank P.O. exam.

IAS - Indian Administrative Service

This exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year.

Bank PO Exam is conducted by various banks and is conducted based on the vacancy of the post.

There are some criteria's which are needed to be satisfied in order to apply for the exams.

For the IAS exam the candidate should be a Citizen of India.

The age limit needed for the exam is that the candidate must have 21-30 years of age for General category candidate

For SC/ST candidate it is 21-35 years and ofr OBC candidate it is 21-33 years

The Education qualification needed for the exam it is that the candidate must have completed A degree from a recognized university.

If you satisfy all these then you can apply for the IAS exam.


For the bank PO exam the criteria's are same as that of the IAS exam except that for the age limit it is 20-30 years
