Can I register for IPCC without CPT?
Can i registration IPCC without CPT? Information is given below.
I have already finished Higher Secondary School and finished diploma in modern office practice in Board of Tamil Nadu as simultancy. And I have finished B.Com (applied) programme as this joining lateral entry (second year). |

It is a must that the candidates must first appear for the CPT level. Without clearing the CPT level the candidate cannot move to the IPCC level. For the CPT level 12th qualification is sufficient. It is not a must to be a graduate to apply for the IPCC level. So you need to enrol for the CPT level if you want to become a CA.

![]() >>CPT is Common Proficiency test usually known as CPT or CPC is an Entry Level Course in Chartered Accountancy Course. >>In the beginning every graduate students have to appear for the CPT exam to become chartered accountant . But now as per the new rule that is announced by the CENTRAL COUNCIL is that now a graduates and post graduates students can directly apply for the IPCC level which is a final level to become a CA ,without appearing for the CPT exam. The following graudates and post graduates students are waived from taking the CPT exam :: 1.Students who have completed their graduation in commerce streams and have studied at least 2 subjects from a below options and must have got at least 55 % marks :: Management Accounting Corporate Laws, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Business Administration, Economics, Management including Financial Management, Accounting, Costing, Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc. 2.Any other streams students who have scored more then 60%marks in their streams can apply for the exam . |

hi, i have passed my IGCSE Year 11(eleven) cambridge board exam with 95%. Does the CA institute recognise this Board and can i enrol for the CPT? i am doing my IB Diploma course now and want to appear for the CPT in June 2013 when i would have completed the IB Diploma course. When should i enrol for CPT in that case? Kindly guide me... Azmi
