can't we join airforce right after 12th standard???...plase tell me

No , it is not true after completing 12th examination with Science stream . The candidates are eligible to apply for Air force examination but the candidate have to clear the entrance examination . The Entrance exam name is National Defence Academy examination .

National Defence Academy Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year as called as NDA I and NDA II .

NDA Exam conducts for :-

## Indian Army
## Indian Navy
## Indian Air force

Eligibility Criteria for Air force Exam :-

~~ You must be Indian National OR Subject of Bhutan OR Subject of Nepal .

~~ You must be holding their Higher Secondary Level(12th) exam with Mathematics and Physics as subjects OR equivalent qualification of a recognized School .

~~ Percentage bar is not mentioned in the Union Public Service Commission . So minimum marks is enough to appear for this examination .

~~ Those who are appearing in the final year of 12th (Intermediate) may also eligible to apply for Indian Air force examination .

~~ You should have attained the age of 16 1/2 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years and there is no upper age limits .

~~ Minimum acceptable height is 162.5 cms with correlated weight .

~~ Physically and Mentally fit according to the physical standards of National Defence Academy Examination .

Any student form 12th class passed in science stream can go for Indian Air Force.
For go in Indian Air Force,candidate have to give entrance exam NDA.
NDa stand for National Defence Academy.

one cannot get into airforce directly after XII exam but one needs to give the entrance exam for Indian Indian services by giving NDA exam and getting selected through the various process for selection.for the three defense services

-Indian ARMY

-Indian NAVY

-Indian Airforce

but one needs to be eligible to write the exam.hence the eligibility criteria is mentioned below-

Of course we can join Air Force after 12th my Friend. The main criteria is as Under.
1. The candidate willing to appear for Air Force must have completed his 12th with Science and Mathematics i.e PCM.
2. He should give the NDA entrance exam and must clear it and should be qualified according to the NDA rules. Some of these are
(1) The Candidate must be Indian.
(2) He Should be aging between 16.5-19 years.

There are generally three branches and for these three branches there are three different eligible criteria.The three department are :

1. Flying Branch,
2. Technical Branch,
3. Ground Duty Branch.

Now i have suggest you the eligible criteria for this aspect which are given below :

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 july 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another eye

Yeah sure you can join the Indian Air Force after passing the 12th Standard Higher Secondary Exam. Its a very common exam that you must be knowing about. Its called NDA - National Defense Academy. Its conducted twice every year in the months of April and August for the 12th board passed candidates. If you wish to apply for this exam, then you have to apply now..

I have given all the details, but as your name suggest you seem to be a girl. And so I am really sorry to say that NDA is not open for girls. Girls have no entries in the Defense at 12th pass level. So you have to take up graduation and later apply for the AFCAT/CDS.

Yes ofcourse you can join Indian Air Force after Passing 12th.


To get entry into Air Force after 12th you have to go through the NDA Examination conducted by UPSC specifically for Airforce entry scheme.

Else you can also get entry into the Air force after graduation for which you have to face the CDS examination.

There are also other ways through which you can get entry into Air force like:- AFCAT – Air Force Common Admission Test & NCC entry

If you are an Air Sqn NCC Senior division ‘C’ certificate holder then you can apply through DG NCC/ respective NCC Air Squadron
Then you would have to appear for AFCAT.

The written tests for NDA & CDSE are conducted by UPSC only. so the filled in forms for them are sent to the UPSC.For details visit www.upsc.gov.in

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

I am happy to inform you that after passing 12th with Physics, chemistry and Maths you are eligible for Indian Air force and Indian Navy.

If you pass 12th with other stream like Arts and commerce you are eligible for Indian Army.

For Joining Indian Defence you have to qualify the N.D.A exam.
N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Age limit for N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.,

You have to qualify three stage:-

> Medical
> Interview
