Re: What are the formalities required to pass IAS exam?
Hello Sandhya,
The very first thing you will need to do is to apply for the civil service exam conducted by UPSC. You will be eligible to apply for the exam, only if you hold or awaiting results of your bachelors degree program. The minimum eligible age is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years for candidates belonging to general category, 33 years for OBC category and 35 years for SC/ST category. After applying for the exam, you will have to undergo three stages of test which includes two written examination and an interview. The first stage is known as civil service aptitude test which you must qualify to move on to the next stage of written examination known as the main exam. After qualifying both written exam, you will be called for an interview. To get selected for IAS, you must be among the highest rank holders of civil service exam. |
