What are the college education do you need to be a genetic enginreering?

Dear Friend

If you are willing to do masters in Genetic Engineering/Genetics then you should have
graduation degree in Genetic Engg/Biotechnology/Other Related course.
For M.Tech. course you should have passed B.Tech. or M.Sc. and for M.Sc., you should
have passed B.Sc.

If you want to get admission in B.Sc. in Genetics then you should have Biology in 12th
but for doing B.Tech. in Genetic Engg. you should have Maths in 12th.

Actually this thing very much depends on college and course conducting department.

If a college conducts separate entrance exam for B.Tech. in Genetic Engg. then
candidates with Maths or Biology in 12th; both will be eligible.
If there is common entrance test for all engg. stream then candidate with biology background won't be eligible.

There are very less no. of colleges in India that conducts undergraduate as compared
to no. of colleges offering PG in Genetic Engineering.
