To become a Customs Officer, the candidate must be an Indian citizen. The candidate will be required to appear for the UPSC exam. The age limit for the exam is 21-30 years. You must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university to appear for the exam. You should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination. Also, the candidate must possess a valid driving license.

Regarding the appointment of Custom Officer (Inspector), following are the important information:

• The entrance exam for recruitment of Inspector in Customs is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
  
• The entrance examination is known as combined graduate level exam.
  
• To be eligible for the exam, candidate must hold a bachelors degree awarded by any recognized university.
  
• The minimum eligible age to apply for the exam is 18 years.
  
• The maximum age limit is 27 years.
