Re: Completed MSc : Which optionals to choose for civil services exam?
hi!
civil services exam offer a no.of optional subjects to choose from. You can choose any combination of subjects except few restrictions. You should choose that subject as optional in which you have interest & confidence. Though you can choose subjects from any discipline but it is always better to choose a subject from your discipline since you will find it easier to study. As you have done Msc you can choose science subjects like physics, chemistry & maths. Maths is considered as one of the most scoring subjects in CSE. Well, you can choose any subject depending up on your interest. |

If you are very strong in your concerned studies the take those as your optional otherwise you may opt for arts subjects like History and Public administration.

Re: Completed MSc : Which optionals to choose for civil services exam?
Strategy for selecting optionals should be as following
Regarding selections of optionals you should give the max importance to your interest because you have to spend a lot of time in studying your selected subjects if you don't have interest in what you have selected then it will become mere waste in ..you will be suffered with boredom so don't listen anyone's suggestion go through the syllabus and topics of each and every optional select the subject in which you are most attracted and have a 80% interested topics in the syllabus this is how you have to select the optionals this should be your target and you have to rock the preparation time interestingly not boringly so if you are interested then select that if every one says even it is the toughest one .. this is all the opinion of my friends who are preparing for the same Take the guidance of successful and unsuccessful candidates Quote:
