Smile Re: Which course in Civil Engineering is more interesting?

Well civil engineering is an interesting course in itself ,as it's totally different from all the other branches of engineering. It is just more than what is confined to the classroom.
We all come with some natural talent and what is needed is just a little search n get aware it. once when your work converts into your passion you can do that work with your totality such that even the small piece of art also becomes your master piece .
Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.
And according to your own talent and interest one goes specific with it .
for example :
1.you should go with bmc(building material and construction)or material engineering if you like to do some new sense .
It covers building materials used for the constructions ,deals with ceramics such as concrete, mix asphalt concrete, metals Focus around increased strength, metals such as aluminum and steel, and polymers such as polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) and carbon fibers. Also some new materials were added to the building material likes use of the fly ashes ,rice husk which are of no use but later were found to be made in use by some new minds and it really works and proves to have some quality of builing materials .
2 .surveying :
you shoul go with survey if you just dont want your studies just confined to your classroom .Its really very interesting subject which you can learn and infact enjoy .
a) Again it bifurcates into two land and construction survey .
3.designing :
a) computer based :
For that various softwares are there, which needs your great command like any CAD software available .Basic idea of this subject is introduced to the civil engineering students through engineering drawing subject like building planning and drawing .
b)designing structures :
If you are interested in Structural engineering it is all concerned with the structural design and structural analysis of buildings, bridges, towers, flyovers, tunnels, off shore structures like oil and gas fields in the sea, and other structures. Here all u need is your good power to knowledge of solid mechanics ,which comes to you in the third semester ,where you deal with the loads to which any building plan is subjected to .
Again i would prefer you to go with the subject where you can give your best and can enjoy learning and working with it .
for more information you can visit to the wikipedia .which can help you to get a total knowledge of all the subjects .

thanking you .
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
