Hell Yeah . Civil Engineering has a very wide scope. No doubt about this.
It is an evergreen field so there is no chance that the scope will go down and there is no chance of graduates turn jobless. But its a tough field. If you have the aptitude and passion for civil engineering then you can turn the whole world around. So study well and answer some entrance exams and fulfill your dream of becoming a civil engineer Cheers |

Hi,
For your doubt i will have to say , you should take civil engineering. As we all know without secure buildings, nothing is possible today. If we take aviation as an example, without airport, hanger, and atc , the most booming field aviation cannot run without. These are all massive structures. So civil engineers have the duty to make aviation field booming. Not only aviation field, any field is incomplete without the touch of a civil engineer. So the scope of civil is higher than any other engineering branch. Dont worry about the job oppertunities, if you are smart enough you may never go in search for a job. The job will do dat ,before you complete your 6th semester. Even now if you are not satisfied just have a look at our neighbouring country, Dubai. They are building up skyscraper's daily. Only civil engineers can do that job. More than thousand civil engineer's are appointed from around the globe in Dubai, with handfull of salary. So don't hesitate to join civil. Join immediatly . Best of luck. |

civil engineer is nothing but a white collared labourer who has to sustain under less educated in politics, administration, finance and the capitalists builders or owners of construction company and even under the architects. MBA along with degree or masters in civil engineering can give you a long time respectable job. Compared to many, the salaries of civil engineers is low and they aretreated amongst lowest in protocol. Recent example is completion of all construction activity for CWG(commonwelth games) on time inspite of demoralising effect of media coverage prior to inauguration when no camera covered them ever. No praise of them for completion. No one in the country knows the names of good civil engineers, structural engineers, earthquake engineers.

The present century is going to be a growth story for Asia.
And there is going to be big deal of construction and civil engineering is the basic perquisite and so there are going to be limitless and great jobs for civil engineers .. companies will vie each other with fat packages and other goodies to get better engineers , for more ambitious projects. It is not only going to be in reality or shopping complexes ..newer better highways flyovers bypasses intercontinental roads and rail lines are going to be setup, There is just so much that i can't elaborate everything here.. In conclusion civil engineering is the field of coming several decades.. So if you have interest and get a good college, go for it. some companies include L&T IVRCL EMIRATES SEARS DLF GAMMON etc. Then you also have higher courses like construction management .. offered at very top colleges... what more one could ask for!!! |

Civil engineering has an immense scope in future..The reason being nowadays even banks have started recruiting civil engineers for project lending...a lot of infrastructure activites are going on...and the wide horizon which includes roads, railways, airports, bridges all come under civil engineering..Its certainly a rewarding career but patience is required as beginners get less salaries as compared to their peers but within a year or two when you get experience..the slary band gets a jump
