You should attend the NDA exam for joining Air force. You should be between 16.5-19 years. You should be an unmarried male candidate. If you get through the written test, you need to attend the physical test and personal interview. If you get qualified in all the 3 stages of the section process, you will have do undergo training at the National Defense academy and also at the Air force academy. After the successful completion of the training, you will be posted as an officer.

You are not eligible to apply for the Indian Air force as an officer after the diploma. For the post of officer in Indian Air force you have to complete your degree first and after the completion of your degree you can apply through Combined defence service examination and Air force common admission test entry in Indian Air force. The eligibility required for both of the entry scheme is given below:

Combined defence service examination
The CDS examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. This exam is conducted for the selection of candidate as an officer in Indian Air force, Army and Navy. For the CDS examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are als eligible to apply for this examination.

Age Limit
Indian Military Academy 19-24 Years
Air Force Academy 19-25Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years


Air force common Admission Test
You can also apply for the Indian Air force as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force such as FLYING BRANCH, TECHNICAL BRANCH and GROUND DUTY BRANCH.
This exam is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year. For the AFCAT examination a candidate should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university. Those appeared in the final year examination are also eligible to apply for the AFCAT examination. For TECHNICAL BRANCH only the engineering students are eligible.

Age Limit
FLYING BRANCH
19-23 YEARS

TECHNICAL BRANCH
18-28 YEARS

GROUND DUTY BRANCH
20-23 YEARS

Which university or school do I need to go to in order to study airforce pilot

Hai,

Iam sorry to say this a diploma studying candidate could not be eligible for indian airforce.

There are two ways to join in Airforce, one is after completion of 12th standard with NDA(National Defence Academy) and after graduation the candidates should be appear CDS(Combined Defence Service) exam.

These two exams are conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year.


Eligibility criteria for NDA:-


The candidate should be complete 12th standard from a recognised state board.

Percentage is not required to apply this exam.


For Naval and Airforce wings the candidate should be complete 12th standard with PCM subjects.


The candidate should be physically fit.

The age limits are 16.5years to 19years, no upper age relaxation.


Nationality:-

The candidate should be a citizen of india

OR

A subject of bhutan,

OR

A subject of nepal,

OR

A tibetian refugee who came over india permanently.


Selection process:-

Written test,

SSB interview,

Medical test.


CDS eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.

Final year graduation persuing candidates are also eligible.

The candidate should be a citizen of india.

The candidate must be physically fit.


The age limits are 19years to 23years, no upper age relaxation.


Selection process:-

Written test,

Personal interview,

Medical test.
