The date of this exam is not release yet .But this exam will be held in the monh of august not in feb/march.You can check the official website of this to get the latest updates.

No CPT- Common Proficiency Test is going to be conducted in the month of February or March.

Here i am providing you the latest information relating to CPT online exam.

The CPT online exam is going to be conducted on 19th June,2011 which is paper-pencil mode exam.

19th June,2011 is a Sunday on which the examination is going to be held in accordance with the revise scheme of education, training and examination of the Chartered Accountancy course.

1st session (morning) ; 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Section A : Fundamentals of Accounting
Section B : Mercantile laws

2 nd session (afternoon) : 02:00PM to 04:00
Section C : General Economics
Section D : Quantitative aptitude

in CPT exams, paper pencil mode is easy or online mode is easy? i want to know this because i have written cpt paper pencil mode for FOUR times and i'm unable to clear it. so this time i want to write cpt exam in online mode. so i want to know which is easy. please help me out in this problem.

Online CPT Exam in 2011 Officially Dates not yet Released by the ICAI. So Please wait until dates released by the ICAI

hey everyone
even i dont know the exact date of cpt feb/mar ,but i do know that it is normally held in the 4th or last week of the respective months .
i enquired in the ICAI office in mumbai & thane and they said that the exams will surely be held in feb/mar and the tentative dates are the same as i said above, but there has been a delay in the process for deciding this years CPT dates but will be displayed soon ........ (^_^)

--TThe dates for the CPT exam in paper and pencil mode for the year 2011 is 19th June 2011.

The last date of application submission is on or before 1st April, 2011.

Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) Chartered Accountants Entrance Exam



It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course.

It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude.

This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each
A Simplified Entry to the Chartered Accountancy Course
CPT will replace existing Professional Education (Course-I) which requires 10-month study period followed by an exhaustive theoretical examination.


CPT is an objective type test to be held every February, May, August and November. This will reduce long waiting for entry to the chartered accountancy education and training.

Common Proficiency Test will be an objective type multiple choice based examination.

Candidates will be allowed to opt for Hindi medium Question Paper Booklet for answering the questions.

ICAI postponed all its exams due to the lockdown in all areas the council cannot take the risks as the students coming to appear will be in lakhs and lakhs.
