There is no official announcement yet regarding online exam of CPT 2011
however Paper Pencil Mode of CPT June 2011 Examination date is Sunday, the 19th June, 2011

CPT online exam will conducted in February. However, dates for the exam in paper and pencil mode in 19th june.

The Notification Of Online Exams Are Not yet Come Or Released. So, When The Notification Was Announced, It Will Be Updated On The Official Websites.


So, I will Suggest You Just Check the Official Websites to Get the Updates Regading Online CPT Exams -

For june Exam:
25th April is the Last Date for submission application form for June 2011 CA-CPT examination
Paper pencil mode Of Examination will be on 19th June, 2011

For Decaember Exam
27th October is the Last Date for submission application form for Dec 2011 CA-CPT examination
Paper pencil mode Of Examination will be on 4th December, 2011

This year the CPT exams is not going to be held in the month of february due to some internal problems. It is due to this reason that the notification for this has not announced yet .so keep visiting the official website regularly so that you can get the updates . The notification will be published as soon as the problem gets solved . so don't worry just visit the official website that is - http://www.icai.org.

Medium for writing the examinations
Examinations can be written either in ENGLISH or HINDI medium.

Online examinations can be written only in ENGLISH

A student has to mention the preference of medium at the time of making the application for examination. In the absence of clear indication of preference, English will be taken as the preferred medium.

The option to answer papers in HINDI should be exercised in total. Paper wise option is not available.

The papers of a candidate who has not opted to write his answer papers in Hindi and answers them in Hindi, would not be valued.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts a student can make at the CA CPT examination.


beside online application student may apply offline. in that case they have to submit the fees and form by post. here is the details.

Alternatively students may take a demand draft for the prescribed amount in favour of Secretary, ICAI payable at New Delhi and submit a letter on white paper indicating their name, address, mobile number, registration number and specify the exam and group in which they intend to appear duly verified by his Principal or any other Chartered Accountant. The students has to submit all these by speed post/registered post to Shri G. Somasekhar, Additional Secretary (Exam), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI BHAWAN, I P Marg, New Delhi – 110002 before the cut off dates.

The exam date is not confirmed for this exam, so you can touch with ICAI site(www.icai.org) to get latest announcements..there's no criteria of seats..whenever ICAI annonces exam date simply contact regional office or Vishwasnagar branch..there remains huge crowd always but its not like you will not be able to get form...i think now a days ICAI has allowed students to fill online forms also.
