The UPSC Conducts IAS examination every year.

And to appear in this examination, you need bachelor degree from a recognised Colleges And your age should between 21 to 30 years.

The UPSC Preliminery examination are going to be held on 12/June/2011.

So, if you have already apply for this examination, then please prepare for this examination well because the examination was near.

And those who have missed the chance in this year, then they cam apply for this examination next time in the month of February.

And the Main examination was held on 29/Oct/2011.

And those who clear the preliminery examination are eligible to apply for Main examination. The Preliminary Examination shall now comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each and of 2 hours duration each. The questions will be of multiple choice, objective type in preliminery examination.

Date of preliminary Examination : 12/June/2011

Date of Notification : 19/Feb/2011

Last date for receipt of Application : 21/March/2011

You need Graduate degree from a recognized University or Equivalent Examination.

Your Age should be 21 - 30 yrs at the time of Appearing.

3 yrs relaxation for OBC candidates.

5 yrs relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

criteria:-
pass out from reco. university
age- 21 to 30 as 01/08/2011.

candidates appear degree exam those are eligible for sitting in exam....

Well if you are thinking to fil application form now then sorry to say but the last
date to fill the application form has been over so you can not fill this form this
year .You have to wait till next year.Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC to
select candidates for IAS,IPS and other services .

Eligibility ::

You must be graduate with any stream from a recognized college.
You age should be between 21 to 30 years if you fall into general category .There is
relation given to reserved caste students in upper age limits and no of attempts .

35 year is upper age limit for SC/ST
33 years is upper age limit for OBC

No of attempts ::
4 for general students
7 for OBC students
No limit for SC/ST

The IAS exam held every year and conducted by UPSC. This exam has two phase. First you have to appear for the Preliminaries and then if you were selected in prelims then called for the mains.
This year prelims held on 12th june and the main exam held on 29th october.
