as there is no preliminary examination this year your bit confused with it i think

u should note that preliminary exam is replaced with CSAT(civil services aptitude test)

this will be in the month of feb or march of 2011

Date of IAS preliminary exam

As you have asked for the IAS, Civil Services regarding the 2011 , So sorry for the reply
The date of the Civil Services preliminary exam for the year 2011 has already been over which was held on the date 12.06.2011
But the civil services Mains exam for the year 2011 is on the date 29.10.2011

So the upcoming civil services preliminary exam for the year 2012 is on the date 20.05.2012 ,
and the mains exam for the year 2012 will be conducted on the date 05.10.2012


And the other important dates for the Upcoming Civil services exam for the year 2012 are as follows:

Date of notification :04.02.2012
Last Date for the receipt of the application form : 05.03.2012

So friend if you are interested to apply for the civil services exam in the year 2012 so please keep the following dates in your mind ...

And you can get the application form of the civil services examination online or you can purchase it from the Head Post Office of your nearby-area.

And start your preparation for the Civil Services exam as soon as possible.
