Hello friend

the most prestigious exam civils which is conducted by UPSC already given the notifications of CIVILS 2011 i expect you to know this basic information as you know the pattern of civils has been changed instead of preliminary exam from this year ye are going to have CSAT(civil service aptitude test) so the application are being issued from last month
the application are available at all post offices or main post offices and also available to download in link www.upsc.gov.in

The IAS examination form are available at post offices and Head post offices throughout the country. The forms are available after the notification published in Indias leading newspapers along with Employment News.

the last date to submit the IAS form is not over yet.

The last date to submit the IAS application form is 21st March, 2011.

so if you still have not submitted the form, then submit it now.

IAS is a Indian civil service exam.The exam is conducted by UPSC.The exam is conducted every year.

Eligibility:
  1. The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  2. The candidate must have a age limit of 21-30 years.
  3. The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university.

Important Dates:

IAS Prelims 2011 :-

Date of Notification:-19 Feb 2011

Last date for receipt of applications:- 21 Mar 2011

Date of Commencement and its duration:- 12 Jun 2011


The syllabus and pattern of the Preliminary Examination:

Paper 1 (200 marks) - Duration : Two hrs.

• Current events of national and international importance
• History of India and Indian national movement
• Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world
• Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc.
• Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc.
• General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization
• General science.

Paper II (200 marks) – Duration : Two hrs

• Comprehension
• Interpersonal skills including communication skills
• Logical reasoning and analytical ability
• Decision making and problem solving
• General mental ability
• Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level)
• English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
• Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level
