The so-called IAS has the official name of Indian Civil Services Exam. The exam is conducted by the UPSC. It recruits candidates not only for IAS, but many other organized services like IPS, IFS, IRS, etc.

Currently, the notification is already on. You can view the notification from the UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in/index.htm, by clicking Examination.

You need to be a graduate in any discipline to appear for the exam, apart from other requirements like nationality, age, physical standards, etc.

The application process is completely online. if you are interested, you can view the application format in the page http://upsconline.nic.in/tpform1.php?exam_code=CSP&year=2012&notice_no=04/2012-CSP&notice_date=11-02-2012. Keep all the info ready and punch your data.

The admit card will also be electronic. You have to log in to the Admit card menu under Examinations and take a print out of your admit card.

It is worth mentioning that you have to put in lof of efforts to clear the Prlims and then the Mains.

Similarly, the Chattisgarh Public Service Commission also conducts exams for State Government Services. The current notification available is for PSC 2011. However, the last date for filing applications has been extended upto 24th Feb.

IAS exam is conducted by the UPSC so you can go to the website of upsc and fill the form of IAS exam.
