what is the difference between general category and NC OBC categry???
I belong to BC B caste..plz help me

The main difference between a general and a NC OBC candidate is for getting admission for higher studies and in getting jobs with respective state and central government. Generally a OBC candidate get 3 years to 5 years in relaxation on the upper age limit for entrance test for government jobs. An OBC candidates gets more attempts at a particular exam compared to a general candidate. In education an OBC candidate can get admission at a less aggregate percentage in government institutions compared to a general candidate.

what isthe difference between OBC, NC-OBC, Creamy layer OBC? I have an OBC certificate from Farrukhabad district U.P. And i want to get NCL-OBC. How can i get it. I live in Delhi now. Please help me. I m in very big trouble.

See from humanity or intelligence point of view, there is absolutely no difference. The difference that lies is in the form application category. Being from OBC category you can get a relaxation on fees in form application. You also get a year relaxation for application in most examinations like MBA or administrative examinations etc. For NET also you will get an age relaxation if you belong to OBC category. So you can avail such things if you belong to the reserved category. But you need to show the proof of your caste certificate when you apply for such examinations.

We all come under one category ---- ' INDIAN'

yes. this obc and category system is pathetic. this does not ensure equality in any way. it only leads to confusion and anger and disappointment among the ambitious students who work so hard and even secure a decent rank but fail to get admission into a decent college. whereas those belonging to the so called reserved categories manage to secure admission into top colleges despite getting a not so good rank.:(

OC comes under which category either OBC or GENRAL?
