I am Yerneni.Tarun Prasad from Vijayawada,Andhra Pradesh. I need to fill my VIT University student profile. I wanted to know the ifference between oc and general category.I was asked to intimate my category..to which category do I belong..?? i want to know the difference between OC and general category..?

This OC and
general category,,this happens only in Tamilnadu, VIT university and other colleges in Tamilnadu.

OC: This belongs to the community which belong to general category of tamil nadu. For example if you are born in tamilnadu and belong to general category,then you can opt for OC category.

GENERAL:

In this category,if you belong to other states,then you can opt for general category.


VIT university also allows other category like SC,ST and other castes.

Whether OC category from tamilnadu can apply for TNPSC group2 exam?? Becaus we dont hav community certificate. Is communal certificate mandatory for us to apply it....?? Pls friends suggest me if u knw the details... thanxx..
