What are the steps to be followed to become a IAS officer?


i want to know what are the steps to be followed
to become IAS officer.

The steps that are needed to become an IAS officer are-
You should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university.
Your age should be in between 21-30years of age if you belong to the general category, 21-33 years of age if you belong to the obc category and 21-35 years if age if you belong to the sc/st category.
The nummber of attempts you can give the exam is 4 for the general category, 7 for the obc category and no restrictions for the sc/st category.
You need to give the prliminary exam and then after clearing it you need to give the mains exam and then final stage is the personal interivew.
Pre exam has the course of general studies which includes general science, geography, economics, history, mathematica, english and current affairs.
In the main exam you need to select the 2 subjects of your own choice out of the 17 subjects.
