Yes, you have to face Mathematics examination in NDA even if you have not pursued 12th standard with Mathematics subject. If you are going to join in Indian Navy or Air Force, you have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC. For joining in Indian Army, there is no need to appear in Mathematics subject in NDA examination.

NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The examination is conducted for recruitment in defence services.

Yes, it is mandatory to qualify in written stage of examination to become eligible for SSB ( second stage ).

The written stage contains questions of Mathematics and General Ability.

Mathematics questions are mostly asked of 10TH - 12TH std. So, you must have better knowledge of mathematics to qualify in examination.

It is mandatory to appear in Maths examination for all the candidates appearing in examination.

For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

NDA refers to National Defense Academy and to join the same you need to qualify NDA entrance examination which is held by UPSC twice every year

Having not opted Mathematics in Class 12th you are eligible for appearing in NDA entrance examination ( if you satisfy other criteria too ) to join Indian Army wing of Indian defense services as for other two wings Physics and Mathematics are compulsory in Class 12th.

But as far you are concerned about the problem to be faced having not pursued Mathematics as Class 12th then yes there will be some as first paper of Written Test of NDA entrance examination is of Mathematics and you need to qualify the same too to qualify the NDA entrance examination.

For more details about the pattern and syllabus of NDA entrance examination you can visit www.upsc.gov.in.

Let me tell you that only those candidates are eligible to appear in NDA examination who have passed 10 + 2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics from a recognised board. If you have not studied mathematics in your 11th and 12th standard then you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination.

Yes, you will have to face mathematics paper in National Defence Academy written test. The written test of NDA exam consists of Paper I as mathematics and Paper II as General Studies.

Both papers are compulsory for each and every candidate whether from arts or science or commerce stream. The second stage of NDA is Service Selection Board. The age limit for candidates of all category is 16.5-19.5 years. One important criteria is that only unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam.

The last date to apply for NDA II in 2017 is over. You will have to wait for NDA I notification to be released by UPSC.

No, you cannot skip mathematics in NDA exam because mathematics is one of the syllabus in the exam.

The syllabus for the NDA exam includes paper 1 & paper 2. The paper contains Mathematics, the second paper includes general mental ability, English and GK.

So, you cannot skip mathematics. The eligibility required for the NDA exam is the candidate should complete their 10+2 in maths stream with a fair percentage from any recognized board.
