NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year.NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army

For NDA exam , you should completed 12th standard or you are in final year of 12th standard then you are eligible for NDA Exam.

The candidate age should between 16.5 years to 19 years.There is no age relaxation for Sc/ST candidate . Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply. You must have Citizenship of India.

As per your age criteria you are not applicable for for NDA I exam but you are applicable for NDA II Exam .Your age now is 16 years old so the minimum age criteria for NDA exam is 16.5 .

But NDA II exam is conduct on September or November , at that time you are crossed the minimum age criteria .

NDA STANDS FOR NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY.
If you are completed 12th standard apply to the nda exam. The age limit is 16 to 19 years. There is no relaxation for sc/st candidates.
Unmarried candidates are only for applied the nda exam. The nda exam have two types they are
NDA-1 AND NDA-2.
Candidate must have be an indian.
Nda-2 exam conducted on september or november.

UPSC conducts the NDA & NA(National Defence Academy & Naval Academy) Exam Twice a year.
Recruitments are made to Army,Airforce and Navy wing of the Defence Services of India.

Eligibility For NDA :

Age Limit :
Unmarried Indian male candidates only in the age group of 16.5-19yrs can apply.
So you have to attain the age of 16.5yrs before applying to NDA exams,at 16yrs of age you are not eligible to apply.
There is no relaxation of age limit for any category of candidates.

Educational Qualification :Army-12 Class Pass of 10+2 of school education/Equivalent.
Airforce & Navy-12th Class Pass with Maths and Physics/Equivalent.

At present You having 16 years , So I suggest you to wait for 6 months then definitely your eligible to apply for NDA Examination . But you may start prepare for NDA Examination Now itself .

To join Navy you need to give NDA exam conducted by UPSC twice in a yeari.e. NDA-I and NDA-II.

Yes you are eligible to give the NDA Examination.

NDA's full form is National Defense Academy. UPSC conducts this examination for twice every year. Army Wing, Naval Wing and Air Force Wing are the three wings you can enter by giving this examination.

NDA Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• You need to be a citizen of India.
  
• Girls unfortunately are not allowed to give this exam.
  
• Only male candidates of India who are unmarried can give this examination.
  
• You need to be a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized institution to enter the army wing.
  
• You need to be a higher secondary passed out student or its equivalent from a recognized institution with physics and mathematics at 10+2 level to enter the Naval Academy or Air Force Academy.
