Re: Doing B.Tech in CSE : What are the opportunities after B.Tech in CSE?
Dear friend,
After the completion of your B.tech in CSE you may go for higher studies or you can opt for various jobs. If you want to go for higher studies, MBA would be the best choice so that you may be good technical knowledge and managerial skills and at the same time Mtech will also a good choice. If you want to opt for jobs, then various career options for you are as follows : 1.Software application- Software is a set of programs that has been created by the programmers. In the software development, there are 2 kinds of people -system analyst and -system programmer The work of system analyst is to develop computer programs. The work of system programmer is to give detailed instructions for solving the provided problem. 2.Sales and Marketing - Each company wants to develop its business more and more. In sales and marketing job, one can involve in selling the computer system and its marketing to various companies. 3.Support and Application services - In support and application services an individual helps the customer in purchasing the software. He guides him about the right kind of an application and for this, he also provides him the training of its usage. 4.Computer operations - After the completion of B.tech in cse, one can work in computer operations in handling computer peripherals and accessories. 5.programmers or coders - As a programmer the employee writes the program and test them. He is able to convert the strategies of system into working programs. As a programmer, there are so many requirements available in IT industry. TCS has made a statement that it is going to recruit 50000 people this year. IT boom is strongly coming back. Definitely you have a good future. All the best |

Re: Doing B.Tech in CSE : What are the opportunities after B.Tech in CSE?
some of the important source of fields evolving in cse are as follows:
Theory of Computation: Regular languages and finite automata, Context free languages and Push-down automata, Recursively enumerable sets and Turing machines, Undecidability; NPcompleteness. Digital Logic: Logic functions, Minimization, Design and synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits; Number representation and computer arithmetic (fixed and floating point). Computer Organization and Architecture: Machine instructions and addressing modes, ALU and data-path, CPU control design, Memory interface, I/O interface (Interrupt and DMA mode), Instruction pipelining, Cache and main memory, Secondary storage. Programming and Data Structures: Programming in C; Functions, Recursion, Parameter passing, Scope, Binding; Abstract data types, Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Binary search trees, Binary heaps. Algorithms: Analysis, Asymptotic notation, Notions of space and time complexity, Worst and average case analysis; Design: Greedy approach, Dynamic programming, Divide-and-conquer; Tree and graph traversals, Connected components, Spanning trees, Shortest paths; Hashing, Sorting, Searching. Compiler Design: Lexical analysis, Parsing, Syntax directed translation, Runtime environments, Intermediate and target code generation, Basics of code optimization. Operating System: Processes, Threads, Inter-process communication, Concurrency, Synchronization, Deadlock, CPU scheduling, Memory management and virtual memory, File systems, I/O systems, Protection and security. Databases: ER-model, Relational model (relational algebra, tuple calculus), Database design (integrity constraints, normal forms), Query languages (SQL), File structures (sequential files, indexing, B and B+ trees), Transactions and concurrency control. Computer Networks: ISO/OSI stack, LAN technologies (Ethernet, Token ring), Flow and error control techniques, Routing algorithms, Congestion control, TCP/UDP and sockets, IP(v4), Application layer protocols (icmp, dns, smtp, pop, ftp, http); Basic concepts of hubs, switches, gateways, and routers. these are also the part syllabus in engg. you can find it important to focus on for your engg. degree too. best of luck. |

Re: Doing B.Tech in CSE : What are the opportunities after B.Tech in CSE?
Hello,
After B.Tech you have many options. 1. Do M.Tech in some good college through GATE. 2. Go for MS through GRE. 3. Go for CAT if interested in management. 4. Take a job and start earning. M.Tech would be a better option, as there are many streams to opt for like : Networking, Security, Web-development, Data-Mining, etc and then go for the job. |
