hi me now a final year diploma student.my branch is mechanical engg..i want to get admission in iit after diploma.please tell me the duration of b.tech in iit if i get the admission?

If you get admisision in IIT, it will be lateral entry and it wll be of three years course.

i dont think IIT provides for direct Second year admission. only way to get hte admissions in IIT is through JEE. So duration will be same i.e. 4 yrs.

You have to spend three years in the IIT to get BTech degree after completion of your diploma.

i think it will be four years only as there is no separate exam fpr diploma candidates for entering in to iit

Duration for diploma holders is same as for the other students, 3 years..

diploma and 12 are considered as same level and you should do engg for 4 years

dear friend,
there is no lateral entry admission in IIT & NIT directly into second year. you will have to give aieee or iit jee exam to get admission over there. this is a disadvantage for diploma holders but you can try for other government colleges.

duartion will be 3 years
u will get admission in lateral entry in 2nd year.
