The eligibility for District Educational Officers may vary from one state to other.According to tamil nadu the eligibility criteria is- a Masters Degree from any university in the state of Tamilnadu Or a degree of equivalent with not less than 50% marks,and a B.T or B.ED degree from any university in the state of Tamilnadu and the candidate must have studied tamil under part-1 or part-2 or pre university or in higher secondary course.And age should be below 40 years for teachers employed in recognised institute.
