The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for IAS exam is a Bachelors degree in any stream.
The minimum eligible age is 21 years whereas, the maximum age limit is 30 years.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST category are eligible up to the age of 35 years and candidates belonging to OBC are eligible up to 33 years.

To be a IAS one need to be Graduate first...
Then he/she choose two subject for the main exam...
this year the exam dates are:

you can give IAS exam four time within 30 year of age .If you are in BSC 2nd year you should not give the exam .because you lost your chance and one attempt .i think that you should give IAS exam in your 3rd year .

For civil service exam is:

Minimum education criteria = Graduate
even a student in final year can also apply for it..

He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing
A general candidate can attempt Four times only.Where as Seven attempts of OBCs. And no limit for SCs/STs.
Based on the overall ranking and your choice of cadre, you will be provided IFS (Indian Foreign Service), IAS or IPS. The higher your rank, the choice is with you.

In case you have not not got a good rank and got into IFS, IAS or IPS, you may still become a Group A or B officer in the Central Govt.

To become IAS officer first thing which you have to do is to fill civil
service.Civil service exam consist of two phase:

I completed my graduation in BSC.IT i.e ( Information technology) in correspondence and the subjects given for the preparation of IAS exam were not the part of my graduation. though i had those subjects till class 12th . can i appear for the IAS exam? also i had a back paper in my 4th semester, which i cleared later on... please let me know if i am eligible for IAS exam.

Those candidate are graduate from any recognized university with any discipline are eligible for IAS exam.

But your age should be in between 22 to 30 years old.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC category as per govt rule.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be in citizen in India.

Optional subjects for IAS main exam:

B.Sc is a graduation course.

After graduation you can apply for I.A.S exam.
I.A.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.
