Re: Eligibility criteria to pursue BCA course?
Eligibility for BCA is 55% at 10+2 level from any stream, and from a recognised board.
If your friend has done 12 class with 55% and above he is surely eligible for BCA course. thank you |

Re: Eligibility criteria to pursue BCA course?
After Completing 10th, Your friend are not eligible for BCA course.
Because to apply for BCA course, A Candidates must complete his 12th class. So, please complete your 12th first, then you are eligible to get admission in BCA in distance learning. And if you are interested to get admission in some of the reputed institutions then you need to have mathematics as one of their main subjects in your 12th examinations. So, i will suggest you, just ask your friend to complete his 12th only then they are eligible to get admission in BCA course. After 10th, no one can get admission in BCA. |

Re: Eligibility criteria to pursue BCA course?
Your friend is not eligible for BCA after 10th standard straight away.
BCA is a post graduation course and to be eligible for BCA, you must complete your 10+2. Other eligibility criteria according to esteemed universities suggest that you need to have mathematics as a compulsory subject in your 10+2. So please tell your friend to complete 10+2 with mathematics and preferable a computer subject. However many universities relax the criteria of having maths or a computer subject as an eligibility criteria, but you have to pass 10+2. |

Re: Eligibility criteria to pursue BCA course?

BCA course you must have completed your Higher Secondary (+2) Examination or equivalent(diploma degree), with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination. Also, as I mentioned earlier the above criteria is generally observed in most institutions offering the BCA degree but some institutions might also drop the minimum % marks required to get admission in the BCA course. So, I would suggest to contact the admission administration of the college you are seeking to take admission in and clear the criteria for the admission in course. Thank you... |

Re: Eligibility criteria to pursue BCA course?
Dear friend,
To study BCA, one should pass 10(+2) with maths, physics, chemistry as main subjects. And he/she should get at least 50% marks in 12th. After only passing 10th, the candidate cannot apply for this course. So at first complete 12th and then apply for BCA. It will be good to pursue the course in a regular mode or full time mode, rather than correspondence or distance mode. All the best! |
