Sir,
I am a student of BCA final year(6th semester)want to get admission in Delhi University for MCA. In 10+2 level i passed with Computer Science as a subject but mathematics was not in my subject and got 52% marks but in graduation level till now i got 75% marks .
Am i eligible for DU MCA entrance test?

The eligibility criteria for MCA is-

1. The candidates must have passed Std. XIIth (HSC Examination) or its
equivalent examination with Mathematics/Business Mathematics/
Statistics as one of the subjects.

2. The candidates must have passed graduation in any discipline, including
BCA course, from a recognized University.

3. A candidate who has appeared at the final year (Bachelor’s Degree)
examination is also provisionally eligible.

The eligibility criteria may differ from state to state. So clearly read the notification.

DU is particular that the candidate should have pursued Maths in 12th standard. Also your score in 12th is low. So you cannot apply for this exam. However you can apply for other entrance exams where this criteria is not required. You can check out other institutes near you offering these courses and apply accordingly.

I have completed my bca with 70% and also had science and math in 12th.....can i apply for du enterence exam 2011...

I got 39% marks in maths in class xii can am i eligible for doing bca

b.e-bachelor of engineering
mca is a post graduation that is done after the completion of a degree
b.e is a degree that is done after the intermediate or polytechnic
mca is a 3 years course while b.e is 4 years course.

You have score good percentage of marks in BCA Course , So definitely you may get admission for MCA Course after Completing you BCA Course with 75% Percentage of marks .

MCA stands for Master of Computer Application .

The duration of the Course is for 3 years and the Course is divided into 4 semester . Bachelor degree is Basic Qualification to apply for MCA Course .

To apply for MCA Course the Applicant have to Complete Graduation in any stream from recognized University . The Applicant have to secure Minimum 60% Percentage of marks . The Applicant have to studied in Mathematics subject in 12th standard (or) Bachelor degree Course then Only your eligible for MCA Course.

Most the College may give first preference to the candidate who have Completed BCA Course in recognized University .

Admission Procedure :-

The Admission for MCA Course is based on the Entrance Score . The Institution/ College may conduct entrance examination within the College . Based in the Entrance Examination Performance you may get admission for MCA Course in reputed College .

I did my bca with 80 percent marks. I had mathematics and computer science both in 12th. Can I pursue MSc instead of MCA?
