I heard there are Government recruit Yoga Teacher. Can I apply for post of Yoga teacher having a Yoga Certificate? Or do I need to do M.Sc or M.A in Yoga? Which colleges offer such courses?

If you are interested to become a Yoga Teacher then you must have a degree in this prescribed subject. Candidate must be a graduation degree holder from a recognized university.
The most important thing is that you must have a degree of B.Ed from a recognized university. As because B.Ed is important to be a government teacher.
It will be beneficial to pursue Master’s degree in Yoga.

Eligibility Criteria for Yoga Teacher-

1. Should have a graduate degree with at least 60% marks . Relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per govt norms.

2. Should have B.ed in yoga.

Skills Required-

1. Yoga Teachers should have an interest, training and experience in yoga practice; a good level of personal fitness, strength and flexibility.

2. The ability to motivate individuals and groups; good spoken communication skills and commercial skills to run your own business.

3. They also possess good level of ability in and understanding of Yoga; good at communicating complex ideas to a wide range of people.
