Eligibility to study BEd for BA(History) graduate with 50.92% marks?


Sir, I have completed my BA History Honours with 50.92% marks from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. I want to do BEd course. So, am I eligible to do BEd course or not? Please help me to know about this asap. Thank you!

= Bachelor of Education (BEd) is an undergraduation course offered to the candidates
who interested in Teaching career.

= NCTE National Council for Teacher Education regulating Teacher training courses.

= The only aim of NCTE is to achieve (RTE act 2009) The Right of Free and Compulsary
Education to the Children

= Candidates must get required marks in the entrance exam which is coducted by the
Institute or University.

= Duration of Bachelor of Education is Two years

= To do BEd, the candidate should complete their degree in Arts or in Science stream
with the minimum required percentage of 50%.

= 5% relaxation will be given to the candidates of Scheudled Casts and Tribes

= Arts students are trained for the subjects like Civics, Social, Geography, History,
Language.

= Science students are trained for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany&Zoology and
also for Mathametics

= There is no age limit has given, but it is better to apply in between the age of 21-30.

Eligibility criteria to study B.Ed course:-

The candidate should have passed graduation in any of Bachelor of Arts( BA), Bachelor of Science (BSC) or Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from a recognised University with at least 50% marks .

B.Ed Admission:-

Admission to B.Ed is done through entrance exam conducted by various states and institutions.

Admission of candidate is subject to cut- off released by the respective University subsequent to the B.Ed entrance exam.

Educational qualification :-

The candidate should have passed graduation in any of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce from a recognised University with at least 50% marks in graduation .

Duration of this course is 2 years .

Admission procedure :-

Admission to B Ed is done through entrance exam conducted by various stages and Institution's.

B.Ed is Bachelor in Education and two year course.

The required qualification to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree with minimum 50% from a recognised university.

So, you are eligible to appear in admission entrance test or apply on merit basis to get admission.

Yes, you are eligible to appear for entrance examination conducted by various institutes for admission in B.Ed course.

The minimum required qualification to pursue B.Ed course is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university.

The minimum required aggregate is 50% with relaxation for reserved category.

B.Ed refers to Bachelor of Education and it is a professional degree course required by those who are interested in making their career as a teacher.

The minimum education required for pursuing in B.Ed degree course from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University is a bachelor degree course in any discipline with 45% marks ( or 40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category ) from a recognized university.

So, having completed your BA ( Bachelor of Arts ) in History degree course with 50.92% marks, you are eligible to study B.Ed degree course for pursuing from Babasahed Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University.

Eligibility criteria for B.Ed:

-> The minimum qualification required to do B.Ed is, the candidate should be graduated from any stream (B.A, B.Com, B.Sc) from a recognized board or university with at least 50% marks.

->The candidate is required to appear for the entrance test conducted by the state government or universities and colleges for admission into the course based on the rank. These exams are usually held in the month of June/July and the results are announced in the month of August.


Since you have completed your degree with nearly 50% you are eligible to do B.Ed. But, you also need to write the entrance test in order to get admission in a reputed college or university.

Yes, you are eligible for studying B.Ed course.

B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is a graduation level degree. The duration of the course is 2 years.

The basic eligibility required for studying B.Ed is a graduation/ bachelors or its equivalent level degree in any related subject with minimum 50% from any recognised university.

Since you have studied BA History from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar university which is a well recognised university, you are eligible for studying B.Ed course in any recognised university.

Yes, you are eligible to study B.Ed course after completion of your B.A (History) graduate course with 50.92% aggregate marks from a Government recognised board. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in Arts/ Science/ Commerce stream with minimum aggregate of 50% aggregate marks from a Government recognised board are eligible to pursue B.Ed course. Admissions in B.Ed course are done through merit basis of Bachelor's degree examination marks or through entrance examination conducted by the respective college/ university.
