Re: Eligibility for VAO exam for 30 year old BC Candidate?
Quote:
VAO Exam Details:- VAO stands for Village Administrative Officers. The recruitment exam to appoint these officers is conducted by the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission. The notifications of this exam is generally published in the official website of TNPSC and in Employment News. Reservation of Vacancies:- The notifications for this exam is generally released in two parts. One for the SC/ST candidates and the second one for all the other categories. Out of the total vacant seats available some are kept reserved for the following:- 1. Women: 30% of the total seats 2. Ex-servicemen: 5% of the total seats 3. Differently-abled: 3% of the total seats Educational Qualification:- You need a minimum general educational qualification for this exam. To give this exam you need a secondary school leaving certificate. In short you need to be a 10th pass out. Even if you have higher qualifications that will be considered only when you have this certificate to show. Age Limit:- You need to attain the age of 21 before giving this exam. That is the minimum age limit for giving this exam. For general category candidates the upper age limit is 30 years. For the reserved category candidates there is age relaxation. For SC/ SC (Arunthathiyars), STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCM and Destitute Widows of all castes the upper age limit is 40 years. Proficiency in Tamil:- You will find it difficult to work in Tamilnadu if you do not know about ‘Tamil’ Language .’Tamil ‘ is the language of Tamilnadu and as this recruitment is for Tamilnadu villages so ‘Tamil Language’ is a must qualification required apply for this exam. So you need to be well versed in Tamil language because you will be posted in the villages of Tamilandu. You can give the exam if you dont know this language but in that case you have to sit for Tamil language exam which is also conducted by TNPSC and pass in it. Selection Procedure:- The selection procedure is quite simple. It mainly depends on your performance in the written examination where you need to get minimum 90/300 to qualify. Apart from that stress is also given on the following parameters:-
Written Exam Pattern:- Written exam will be conducted in two following parts: 1. General Knowledge 2. General Tamil/General English The first paper is bilingual and the second paper is optional. Your preference needs to be stated in the application form itself. 150 marks each has been allotted for each paper and you will get three hours to complete the whole paper. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
