Some states have banned entrance examinations.Some still continue the entrance examination to maintain the competitive standard of the younger generation.Why the dilution of standard by some States ?

It is a quite complicated question as there are always changes in the admission pattern for pursuing higher education which varies from state to state and also depending on the University senate. There had been various discussions on this matter in the union too. But an aspirant really had to be very selective and prepare according to the needs and requirement of the university itself.
