as you are doing engineering so you can appear for IES after completion of your course.

IES exam is conducted by UPSC every year.after getting good marks you can join Indian railway as an assistant engineer.

after promotions you can become GM, DRM, CHAIRMAN railway board etc.

you can also join Indian railway by passing civil services exam.after getting good marks you can join Indian railway as IRTS official.

Searching for the vacancies in railway is not a big deal because everyday we are able to find as many as vacancies in railways that were advertised in newspaper.
As you are the electronics student you have most of the oppurtunities next to to civil and mechanical. The career in raiways is very good and fairly its most better than someother company jobs and moreover it comes under the control of central government.
Search in employment news and the advertisements in various newspapers and one more best option is internet.

you should write CDS nad NDA exams for railways jobs

UPSC conducts various examinations for recruitment in Indian railway.
One can join indian railway through Civil Service Examination and Combined Engineering Service exam. Apart from these two examination, one can also appear for Special Class Railway Apprentices Examination.
The advertisement of these examination are published in all leading newspapers including Employmnet News. The eligiblityfor each examination depends upon the nature of the job. For details, you may visit the official website of UPSC.

1. IES:
Toughest exam of its kind, You may have these post through IES in future: -Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineers
-Indian Railway Stores Service (Telecommunication/ Electronics Engineering Posts)
-Indian Telecommunication Service

2.Combined Engineering Service :-

Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE),

there is so many examination to join in indian railway. most of the time the written examination to recruit in indian railway is conducted by UPSC. visit their website http://www.upsc.gov.in you will get information regarding this.

also IES examination is there to join in Indian railway. also you may appear in civil service examination. there is some post in indian railway in which recruitment is done through civil service examination. as you are engineer so you may join in indian railway as a group A rank officer. actually when notification is published then all the details is given about the examination along with the notification. so read carefully the notification and be prepare for the examination.

One can write the RRB exam after B.tech exam which publishes in employment newspaper according to the requirement of government of India so keep checking and start apply.....for that you need to pay just 20/- and write exam and pattern is your B.tech syllabus.
