Re: How to appear for NDA exam? I am appearing for 11th from science
Dear Friend
Sorry to say that 10+1 that is 11th class students are not eligible for the NDA examinations organised by the UPSC for entry into three wings of defense that is Army,Navy and Airforce. Candidates who has passed their 10+2 or are appearing for it from a recognized board are only eligible for the NDA examinations.Second most important thing is that you should be unmarried male Indian. The age limit is 16.5 to 19 years with no relaxations applicable for anyone. You must be physically and mentally fit. NDA examinations are held twice every year ,the important dates for NDA I for the 2013 has already passed .NDA 2 will be conducted in august. The examination consists of two stages: First one is the written test which is held in single day and consists of questions from mathematics, general awareness and science upto 10+2 level. Those who qualify for the written test are called for the Service selection board . Here is the complete pattern of NDA exams. Since you are in 10+1 ,so should now start preparing for the NDA examinations as it a little bit tough but you can achieve success by hard and smart work. Here I have listed some of the important books which may help you in preparation. For any more information about NDA exams ,you may visit www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information helps you.
