NET stands for National Eligibility Test and this examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year for the post of Lectureship and Junior Research Fellowship Post. For this year NET Examination Notification was already Published and the Online Registrations was also Started.

The Last date of apply for this examination is 30/April/2012

And the examination is Conducted soon on 26/June/2012.

Eligibility Criteria :

~~ You have to complete your Post graduate degree course with minimum 55% Marks from a recognised University.

~~ Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for this examination.

~~ There is no Upper age restrictions to apply for Lectureship Post, But for Junior Research Fellowship Post, you must have attained the age of 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for Reserved category Candidates.

~~ You have to attained the age of 19 years to apply for NET Examination.

If you have fulfill the above Requirements, then please fill the Online NET Application form soon before the last date.

There are 3 papers in NET Examination and all are conducted in same day in 2 session and All the papers of NET is Objective, and there is no negative marking in the examination. You have to choose the subjects in NET on the basis of your Post graduation Only.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. NET exam is held in the month of JUNE and December of every year.

Eligibility criteria for NET

Candidate should be completed post graduation with minimum 55% marks(for general & OBC candidate) for SC/ST 50% marks
Candidate who are appearing their final year of qualifying exam are also eligible for this exam.
Age Limit
For JRF candidate should be 19 to 28 year.
For Lectureship minimum age is 19 year maximum age no limit

If you fulfill all the eligibility criteria of NET exam then you can apply for this exam

Here you are register your account and fill all the form of step 1
after filling the form you take the print out of challan copy and fill this challan to the bank
after filling the challan you find journal no. which you can enter in the part 2 registration .

Eligibility For NET

The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC) is held in the months of June and December every year..

A candidate is eligible to appear for the NET only if :-

>> The candidate must have completed his/her post graduation with an aggregate of 55% without rounding off..

>> The candidates applying for JRF must not be more than 28 years of age..

You need to clear 3 papers :-

Paper-1 :- 60 questions out of which you have to attempt 50 in 75 minutes..

Paper-2 :- 50 questions in 75 minutes..

Paper-3 :- 75 questions in 120 minutes..

Paper-1 will be common for all and there will be 4 sets of papers..

Paper-2 and 3 shall depend on your subject chosen..

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.Net exam is conducted by UGC.This exam will be conducted for the JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and also for Eligibility to Lectureship.

Eligibility Criteria:


Candidate should have a citizen of India

Candidate should complete graduation from any recognized university.

Candidate should be secure minimum 55% of marks in their post graduation.(5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates).

Age limit:

There is no upper age limit for the candidate Lectureship.

But to JRF candidates age limit between 19 to 28 years.Age relaxation upto 5 years is provided to SC/ST and OBC Candidates.

SET stands for State Eligibility Test.This SET is responsibility of each state to conduct for its colleges. if you are interested then every state conducts this SET exam.

For pursuing Maharashtra state SET exam candidates must have Master's degree from an institution recognized by UGC.

candidates other than SC/ST candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination.(5% relaxation for SC/ST ,PH and VH candidates).

NET is national eligibility test which is a test conducted twice every year by university grant commission in order to select the candidate who are willing to get jobs in the field of teaching as a lecturer in some college or who wants to go in a research field. NET Exam is a tough exam and can be done in any subject from 80 given subjects.

Eligibility :-
1. A master degree is required
2. Minimum 55% is required
3. Final year candidate can also apply

Exam is conducted two times every year and scores are valid for 02 years.

Dear sir I have completed ba in 2004 and after that I have completed MBA in 2015 so can I eligible for net exam

Every year NET is conducted by CBSE.

Now CBSE is conducting the exam for 83 different subjects in 89 cities all over the India.

The examination is conducted 2 times in a year - July and December.

You can apply to upcoming date by using CBSE online application portal. You must have to fulfill the criteria before applying:

1. Master degree from a recognized university
2. At least 55℅ marks in master degree
3. Age not more then 28 years(for JRF)


The application fee for general is ₹600, obc is ₹300 and ₹150 for ST & SC candidates .

NET stands for National eligibility test and it conducted by CBSE .

Educational qualification for NET

Candidate should be post graduate from any recognized university with 55% marks.
For SC/ST candidates marks should be 50%.

Age should be up to 28 years.
