UGC NET is conducted by UGC two times a year. Applications can be submitted online through the website of UGC. Master degree from any of the recognized University is the basic qualification required. PG must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks. Upper age limit for JRF is 28 years. For lectureship, there is no upper age limit.

The National Eligibility Test is conducted twice a year. First time it is conducted in June and second time in December. You can only apply for the National Eligibility Test online through the official website of UGC NET.
The registration only begins once the notification is issued by the University Grants Commission. The UGC is responsible for conducting the National Eligibility Test. Notification is generally issued 1-2 months in advance. Which means that the next notification will be issued some time in October or November. You will have to submit the registration form online while the registration fee can be submitted to particular bank which is notified in the notification. It is important to read the notification carefully to fully understand the admission procedure. But before you do all that please ensure that you are eligible for the National Eligibility Test. It is conducted for College Lectureship and JRF. NET Eligibility 1. The exam is open for Indian citizens only. 2. You should be post graduate to apply for it. 3. Final year students can also apply. 4. You must have 55 percent marks in post graduation. 5. 50 percent are required for SC and ST. There is no relaxation for OBC. 6. Final year students should meet marks criteria and submit degree in 2 years. 7. Subject for the exam will depend on your PG course. 8. The age limit is 28 years for JRF. 9. It is relaxed by 3 years for OBC. 10. While 5 years relaxation is given to SC/ST. 11. Must be at least 19 years old to apply for lectureship. 12. There is no upper age limit. 13. No limit on number of attempts. |
