I want to join cid . My dream is to become cid officer .but i pass my 12th class in commerce stream .

-> With 12th standard qualification, you are not eligible for CBI and for Inspector posts in CID.

-> Don’t worry, complete graduation in any stream after 12th, then you are eligible to join CID.

You have completed 12th standard so you are not eligible for CID entrance exam now. But after completion of graduation degree, you can join CID through SSC CGL exam.

If you have qualify in below given stages then you are eligible for the post of CID recruitment exam.

1)SSC CGL Tier I

2)SSC CGL Tier II

3)Medical test

4)Physical test

5)Personal interview

Eligibility criteria for CID exam:-

Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution.

Age criteria:-

1. Sub Inspectors in CPOs – 20 years to 25 years
2. Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI – 20 years to 27 years
3. Statistical Investigators – Maximum 26 years
4. For all other posts – 18 years to 27 years.

CID stands for the Criminal Investigation Department. For the sub inspector posts in CID/CBI, you must appear for the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination.

For this exam, minimum of bachelor's degree is required to be eligible for the exam. The age limit is 20-30 years for open category candidates. You can also join CID by joining Indian Police Services through the Civil Services examination.

You are at present 10+2 passed, so first of all you must do your bachelor's degree to be eligible for all these exams.

The acronym of CID is Criminal Investigation Department.
Before completing your graduation degree with a recognized university you are not eligible for CID entrance exam. After graduation you have to appear in SSC CGL exam. Age criteria should not be more than 27 years.

First you should have completed graduation in any stream. For becoming CID officer you should have age of 21 and 27 in between. I think first you should complete a degree for it.
