How to become a Hepatologist? Am I eligible after completion of Bachelor of Physiotherapy?

I am a student of Bachelor of Physiotherapy. I want to know whether can I become a Hepatologist after completing BPT? Do I need to do study any further degrees for it or BPT is enough?

For becoming Hepatologist, the candidate should have studied MBBS course followed by masters in realted stream. So, you need to study MBBS course from any recognized university.

For studying MBBS, the candidate should have completed the 10+2 in PCB from any recognised board. You also need to attend the entrance exam and qualify in the exam for getting admission in any university.
The age should be more than 17 years for attending the exam.

BPT degree is not enough for becoming Hepatologist. You need to complete MBBS degree and apply for Hepatologist post.

Firstly I would like to correct you that its not Hepatologist but it should be Hematologist. Hematologist is a medical practitioner specialist in the studies of blood and its related diseases which may include disorder with blood cells, bone marrow, and the vascular system in general.

Eligibility : Candidate aspiring to become Hematologist must possess a 5 and a half years MBBS degree followed by 2-3 years MD(Medicine)/DNB course. After attaining the Master degree candidates have to do D.M (Hematology) to specialize in the field of Hematology. After completion of the course aspirants can get a jobs in a reputed Government and Private Hospitals like- AIIMS etc.

Below is the procedure to become a Hepatologist.
>>Candidates must complete MBBS( Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree. Then, candidates should go for MD(Doctor of Medicine) degree. After completing MD course, candidates should go for DM Hepatology course to become a Hepatologist.

So, you are not eligible to become a Hepatologist after completing BPT course. You should follow the above mentioned procedure to become a Hepatologist.

According to me, you are not eligible for Hepatology.

Eligibility to become a Hepatologist:-

Aspirants who want to become Hepatologist must possess a MBBS degree.

After completing MBBS degree, aspirants must have to pursue MD(Medicine)/DNB course.

After attaining the Master's Degree, candidates have to do DM(Hepatology) to specialize in the field of Hepatology.
