Re: How to become an IAS officer after passing class 11th?
As you have completed 11th standard the next step will be to complete school education. You can go ahead with PCM subjects without any worries. There is so criteria for Civil Services Examination which says that you need to select some specific subjects.
Once you have completed school education, it would be the time to start college education. You will need to complete graduation. Bachelor's degree in any discipline will be accepted by the Union Public Service Commission for the Indian Administrative Service. After completing graduation you can appear for the Civil Services Examination. However it is important to prepare for 8 to 10 months at least before appearing for the Civil Services Examination. You can start with some basic things even during school and college. For example, improve your English if it need work. Correct your grammar and communication skills. You should also read some newspaper and watch news to be updated with latest happening around the world. At later stages when you have completed graduation, you can start studying 12th standard books by NCERT. Internet can also be very useful. Download previous years papers and solve them. Give yourself same amount of time to solve each paper as given in the Civil Services Examination. It is a great way to check out your weaknesses and work on them. Eligibility 1. Nationality: Indian citizen. 2. Qualification: Any graduation degree. 3. Percentage: No criteria. 4. Age Limit: 21 to 30 years for General. 5. Relaxation: 3 years for OBC. 6. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST. 7. Physical Requirements: There are none. Selection Procedure 1. Preliminary Exam: 2 written tests. 2. Main Exam: 9 written tests. 3. Personal Interview |
