Subject selected in 11th or graduation is not a restriction to join IAS. Graduation is the basic qualification required. Selection process is done through two stages, prelims and mains. To clear prelims you need to prepare on GK and General Aptitude. Mains exam can be prepared on the basis of the optional subject selected. Details on this can be collected from UPSC portal.
