Re: How can I become an IPS officer after B.Tech after doing B.Tech in CSE stream with 78% aggregate
It is great thought to serve the country via police service.
To become an IPS officer , first of all it is necessary to qualify written examination conducted by UPSC. IPS examination is also one of the toughest examination in India. After qualifying written examination ,it is necessary to face and qualify interview and physical test. Eligibility criteria for IPS examination are such that the candidate must:- -be a citizen of India. -holds a graduate degree in any disciple from a recognized university. -be of age 21-28 years of age at the time of applying . Also number of attempts are the examination are limited for: General-4 OBC-7 SC/ST- No limit. So, as you mentioned ,you are a B.tech degree holder then if the college from which you have completed B.Tech is a recognized university then you are eligible to apply for it if you fulfill other eligibility criteria. Also ,to become IPS officer ,it is very necessary to prepare for it with great determination and dedication. At the time of preparation ,there must be only one target (IPS Officer) all the time till you achieve the target. |

Re: How can I become an IPS officer after B.Tech after doing B.Tech in CSE stream with 78% aggregate
Yes you are eligible to apply for the IPS examination conducted by the UPSC on the basis of your educational qualifications . But your age must be 21-30 years for general category and 21-33 years for OBC and 21-35 years for SC/ST . There is no fixed aggregate required to apply for the examination .

The candidates who qualifies in the first stage ( Preliminary ) are eligible for the second ( Mains ) and so on for the third stage ( Interview ) . The examination is one of the toughest examination . The merit list of selected candidates are prepared according to there performance in the entrance examination . The candidates on the top of merit list are offered for IAS and then IPS and so on . The application form are released every year in the month of May and June . The first stage examination for this year is on 23rd August 2015 . |

Well now here is the information in detail as per your query. The term "IPS" stands for Indian Police Services. In order to join the Indian Police Services as an officer, you need to crack the CSAT. This Test is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission and is considered as one of the most prestigious as well as toughest examinations conducted every year in India. The Exam is considered as one of the toughest coz it is conducted in three phases and you need to crack all the three in order to join the Indian police Services. And In our Country, every candidate aspire to join the Civil services, so the no. of applicants appearing in the exam are quite above in comparison to the seats available which are below 1k. But As you have passed your Bachelor`s degree with good percentile, you can appear in the exam and if prepared well with excellent will and rigid determination, you can crack this nut.
