IPS stands for Indian Police service.

Graduation Degree in any stream from a recognized university are applicable for IPS Exam, the final year students also eligible for applying preliminary examination

You have completed B-Tech degree in computer science so you are applicable for IPS Exam .

The Candidate age should be in between 21 years to 30 years . Age Relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

Attempt Limit:-

General Candidate can maximum 4 Times
OBC Candidate can Maximum 7 Times
SC/ST there is no attempt Limit

IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .

Physical criteria(Height ,weight , chest , eye-sight) is given below-



Blood pressure (High) - Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127.

Ear-Good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal-candidate should not stammer while speaking.

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

The candidate aspiring for IPS should have minimum prescribed Physical requirement such as :-

HEIGHT - General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm \.

CHEST - Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selection is through two phases of written Exam followed by Personal Interview:-

CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-Civil Service Main Exam

-Personal Interview

Hence after Graduating in B.Tech. Computer Science, one is eligible to apply for IPS Civil Service Exam.

I am happy to inform you that after passing B.Tech with Computer Scirnce you are eligible for I.P.S officer.

For Joining Indian Police Services you have to qualify the entrance exam known as Civil Services Exam.

CIVIL SERVICES EXAM

Civil Services exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

QUALIFICATION:-
Pass any graduation course from Recognized university.

AGE LIMIT:-

To become an I.P.S Officer, you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service Examination.

It is conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted in three stages.

Yes , Civil services exam can be given after engineering graduation.

In fact most of the candidates selected in Civil services are from Engineering background.

It is better if you start preparations third year onwards in Engineering.

Im now 10th standard I'm studing in gvt school i want become ips but which course I'll choose after 10th.And one thing is I'm from a small village so i don't have a good clg r universities..so gave me the suggetion....
