hello sir,i'm tetei from mizoram....i want to know how i can join indian army as a doctor...after completing my class 12(PCB)....I REALLY WANNA SERVE FOR THE NATION

you should give AFMC pune exam.the paper is of 2 hrs and 1/4 negative marking.but as now it is round the corner, you may persue MBBS in civil medical collage and join army as a short service commisioned officer. it is a rewarding job.it also depend on the field of speciality you are interested in.being an army colonel(doctor's)son,i tell you it is a great career as army doctor.

Dear Friend,
Your motto was so good.If you really want to serve the Indian Army as a Doctor , you must be a post graduate .Because now your in a learning stage.

First complete your graduation in M.B.B.S or some other courses in medicine.It depends on your interest.There are so many courses avalible in medicine like B.Pharmacy, Bachelor of Dental Surgery,Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery,Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery etc .

Thr details below i am giving you
Educational Qualification:
Applicant should have the degree related to Medical stream from the reputed university.
Applicant must have Permanent registration with any of the medical side and with medical council or MCI.
Those applicants can also apply who have the given pursuit degree i.e. MD (Medical Doctor), MS (Medical Specialist), M. ch and DM.

Age Limit in Indian Army as a Medical Specialist:
Applicant should not more than the age of 45 years for the officer’s posts as a Medical attendee in Indian army.

Application Fee:
Fee is same for all the eligible applicants who wish to apply for the posts of Commissioned SSC (short service commission) officers.
The application amount is Rs. 200 for all the qualified and eligible applicants.
Applicant has to pay fee for the posts of commissioned SSC (short service commission) officers by the way of demand draft and payable at new Delhi in support of Directorate General armed forces in medical services (APF Fund).

Hello tetei. To join Indian Army after 12th you can apply for AFMC Pune, but to apply for that u should first clear NEET exam with a good score.
There are also opportunities for joining Indian Army through direct entry,after completing MBBS from recognized University.

am happy to listen your aim that you wanna to serve your service in Indian army as doctor but my dear you should need to complete a degree in medical line my mean to say you should go for mbbs , md , bds courses after that you can apply for Indian army the minimum requirement for Indian army in doc-try line belongs to your age is 45 years after 45 years you doesn't able to apply for Indian army so my dear best of luck for more check the attachment attached by me

After passing 12th if you want to join Indian Army then you have to qualify the A.F.M. entrance exam.

ARMED FORCE MEDICAL COLLEGE

Eligibility criteria for A.F.M.C exam:-
> Pass 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% marks from recognized board.
For ST/SC candidate 5% Relaxation
> Age limit should be above 16.5 year and below 21 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit (no major surgery)

There are three stages of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

To join Indian army as a doctor, you have to get admitted to AFMC.
You have to write entrance exam called
AFMC-Armed Force of Medical Council.
You should also satisfy physical standards and fitness test.
