I wish to join Indian Army after completing my 12th class with Arts stream. Can i eligible for Indian Army. Please give information about that.

Yes, you can join Indian Army after 10+2 in arts stream because candidates who has done 10+2 in any stream is eligible for Indian Army through the National Defence Academy examination. For Navy or Airforce, science stream is necessary.

The age limit for the NDA/NA for unmarried male candidates is 16.5-19.5 years. Selection is done on the basis of:

1. Written Test.

2. Service Selection Board.

As you are arts candidate, you must work on mathematics as one paper in NDA exam is of mathematics.

The eligibility for NDA is :
1. You must complete 12th with maths, physics and chemistry group.
2. There is no marks percentage bar for joining NDA.
3. The minimum age limit for joining NDA is 16 years of age.
4. The maximum age limit is 19 1/2 years.
5. There are no reservation provided in any case.
6. Only male candidates are eligible and female candidates are eligible.

Yes.You can join Indian Army without NCC after 12th exam.For that , You have to apply for NDA entrance exam & need to qualify it with good score.In Indian Army , You will be selected on the basis of NDA score cum SSB Interview.NDA exam is held twice a year in the month April and September.

- You should have Indian Citizenship
- Your age must be between 16.5 to 19 years on 1st July of the examination year.
- You must have passed (10+2) in science stream with PCM as a main subjects.

Paper Pattern
- Mathematics : 300 Marks (2 hrs 30 Min)
- General Ability Test : 600 Marks (2 hrs 30 Min)

- Interview : 900 Marks

For joining Indian Army just after 10+2 standard without joining NCC, you can either appear for:

NDA Exam that is conducted by UPSC.

Recently, it was conducted on 27 September, 2015.

Now, upcoming NDA Exam will be conducted in April, 2016 by UPSC.

TES 10+2 Exam is another exam that is conducted by Indian Army itself.

But for appearing in this exam, you must have an aggregate of 70% in 10+2 with PCM stream.
