Hello Friend!

You are currently doing B.E course & interested to join Indian Military Academy. Well sure you can join Indian Military Academy after BE course.

To join Indian Military Academy, you have to appear in Combined Defence Service i.e. CDS Examination conducted by UPSC & held twice in a year as CDSI & CDSII Exam.

ELIGIBILITY for CDS EXAMINATION:

Candidate should have passed Bachelor degree course in any stream from recognized university.

Candidate can also appear in CDS Exam while pursuing final year of Bachelor degree course.

Candidate Age should be in between 19 to 24 years.

candidates should Unmarried & male.

Candidate must have Indian citizenship.


APPLICATION PROCEDURE for CDS EXAMINATION:

Candidates can apply for CDS Examination in following modes..

• In Offline mode

To join Indian Military Academy one has to appear and crack the CDS entrance exam.

CDS - COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for entry in to:-

INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY
INDIAN NAVAL ACADEMY
INDIAN AIR FORCE ACADEMY
INDIAN OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good physical and mental health, can apply for CDS.

As you are an engineering Graduate, you can apply for Indian Military Academy of CDS within the age of 19 to 24 years.

The selection is through written exam followed by SSB Interview along with certain prescribed Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

The CDS can be applied through on line.

The written exam comprises of objective type questions based on the subjects from English Language, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.

In India, army is the most important part of defence.To join Indian Army you have to fight Civil Defence Services exams i.e. CDS and NDA exams.Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC Union Public Service Commission.

FOR NDA EXAM: -1. A candidate pass 102 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with minimum 50 aggregate marks from a regonised board.2. Age Eligibility For Indian Army


There are Different ways to join IMA Dehradun. its a Sub stage to get into Armed Forces. IMA is a Training academy where Graduates, NDA candidates treated One year heavily to boost their physical stamina.

To Get into IMA you have ample to Entries.

After 10+2



Through NDA :- if you clear the NDA Exam and your Preference is Army then you will be treated 3 years in NDA Khadakwasla , Pune then One year in IMA Dehradun.

After Graduation

If you take Engineering Degree as your Graduation, then you can have

Through UES i.e University Entry Scheme in Army Final and Pre Final year Students can apply for this, if you clear SSB , then you will be treated One Year in IMA.

Through CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Examination. Final year Students can write this. You can opt Air Force , Army or Navy , if you select Army and clears SSB then you will be Entered into IMA directly for One year Training.

Through SSC or TGC i.e Short Service Commission and Technical Graduate Scheme. Final year Technical Graduate can apply for both the Entries and Procedure is same as Above i.e One year IMA if selected in SSB (Service Selection Board.)

wise eligibility.....prepare
well for nda and do your
graduation with good
