Dear friend,

Final year student and passout batch are eligible for ISRO exam.

Every year ISRO select the candidate in one process those are qualify GATE exam with good score are called for direct interview.

And 2 nd option , first you have to cleared written exam then you will be called for interview.

Yes, B-TECH(ECE) student are eligible for ISRO exam.

Those candidate have completed B-TECH degree or final year student are eligible for ISRO exam.

but your graduation marks must be above 65% .

The age criteria is given below-

For general candidate - 35 years
For OBC candidate - 38 years
For SC/ST candidate -40 years.

Exam Patterns are-

Total No. of question:80
Total time:90 mins
Marking system:+3 for corerct answer, -1 for wrong answer

academic qualification:

you have first class BE/B.TECH or equivalent in Electronics ,
Mechanical,computer Sc.,with a minimum avg 65%
final year student also apply

Age:maximum 35 years
[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and
OBC will get 3 year age relaxation]

i'm a student of b.teh 5th sem(ece)..from a newly opened up university..in north eastern region. bt i'm very much interested in joining ISRO.so wat do i need to do?and since my unoiversity is just 5 years old, will it make any negative affect on the recruitment of the students? plz help me out

ISRO Stands for Indian Space Research Organization

If you can join ISRO will have to full fill the following Criteria....


=> you have completed B.E/B.Tech with at least 65% from recognized Universities......

=> Age should be between 21-35 years for General category. There is a Relaxation is available for OBC +3 years and for SC/ST +5 years on Upper age......

=> Nationality of India.....

I have an aggregate of 68% marks in ECE. I was not selected to write ISRO entrance exam this year. Shall I get another chance to write ISRO exams in the coming years?

You must have 1st class BE/ BTECH with an aggregate minimum of 65% .
Your age as on 28-02-2011 should not be more then 35 years

You have to take aptitude exam and their interview.

Process to Join ISRO for getting jobs

1. To Join ISRO first you will have to apply for GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam conducted by IIT and in this exam you will have to score more then 50% marks in this exam.
2. After getting pass in this exam,you will have to check continuously ISRO official website for recruitment notification.Its official website is www.isro.org/scripts/job.aspx .
3. Under this site you will have to check "Job Opportunity" Section.
4. Under this section jobs for various posts you will have to select appropriate posts for which you want to apply.
5. As per your qualification you can apply for "Scientists/Engineers for Geo Stationary Satellites section".

Eligibility required :

1. You should be pass out in your engineering course from recognized university.
2. You should have a Regular Engineering degree.
3. Your minimum marks in Engineering course should be Regular.
4. Your minimum marks in all semesters of Engineering course should be 60%.
5. Your minimum age should be 21 years.

Thus after completing your Engineering course if you will follow these steps then it ensures that you will able to join ISRO as a Scientist/Engineer.


However as you are in 5th semester you can apply for GATE Exam this year.So be prepared for GATE 2013.GATE Official website is http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in/

ISRO does hiring for below posts after BE/BTECH
Scientists/Engineers-Civil
Scientists/Engineers-Electrical
Scientists/Engineers-Refrigeration
Scientists/Engineers-Mechanical
Scientists/Engineers-Computer Science/electronics


Eligibilty to apply is:
BE/BTECH in relevant stream of engineering with minimum aggregate of 65% marks

Age- Maximum age to apply for the General Candidates is 35 years
OBC can apply till 38 years

You have to apply online through ISRO website www.isro.gov.inwhen vacancy are advertised


After application, only candidates shortlisted by ISRO will be allowed to give the written tests date advertised
