i am confused which side should i go as in minimum time i want to complete my studies and want to do job for my parents, i think to join merchant navy but what percentage is required, after 10th what should i study, as i stay in pune, maharashtra state

Merchant Navy is a great career option after 12th, it is perfect for those who love travelling, adventure, interested in seeing new places and meeting new people. In this profession you will travel around the world and that too free of cost. Of course you can join Merchant Navy after completion of class 10 too. There is Deck Cadet Course spanning for 3 Months. Such courses are Diploma in Applied Science or Deck Watchkeeper. It provides the Cadet Pre-sea Training as well as onboard training of 24 Months.

I passed 10th with 73% from Mumbai University & then did Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & passed in 1st class. I would like to join Merchant Navy & need guidance on how to join it. Expecting a reply in detail.

Join Merchant Navy after 10th standard:

Your 10th certificate should be awarded by a recognized board as per DGS Circular 07 of 2005.

You should be within the prescribed age on the date of commencement of the Pre Sea Training course.

Your age must be between 17.5-25 years.
