Re: How can I prepare for IIT entrance exam?
Dear friend, IIT-JEE is an entrance exam that was earlier conducted jointly by IITs for entrance to IITs. But now it is conducted but with different name i.e. JEE Advanced Exam. Recently, JEE Advanced Exam has been conducted on 2 June 2013 and about 1.5 lakhs candidates appeared in this exam. Among these candidates only 9800 candidates bagged seats in IITs, ISM Dhanbad, and IT BHU. For appearing in JEE Advanced Exam, you will have to first qualify JEE Mains Exam. Only, then you can appear for JEE Advanced Exam. Genetic Engineering is not available in any IITs. However, you can pursue the course of Bio Technology in following IITs, if you qualify for IIT. >> IIT Madras >> IIT Bombay >> IIT Delhi If you wish to see list of courses in IIT Delhi, you can view following image: |

Re: How can I prepare for IIT entrance exam?
If you want to get admission into IITs after 12th then you have to appear for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced.
You have to qualify JEE Mains with top marks then only you will be eligible for JEE Advanced. The admission into IITs will be based on JEE Advanced. Also you must have very good marks in 12th PCM because in JEE the overall score will include the 12th marks also which will have 40% weightage. Hence you must ensure that you get top marks in the 10+2 and also in the JEE. You can refer following books for JEE preparation: Chemistry: -NCERT Chemistry XI & XII Basic Text Books -P. Bahadur Physical Chemistry -Arihant Prakashan Organic Chemistry -O.P. Agarwal IIT Chemistry -Ebbing General Chemistry Physics -H.C. Verma Concepts of Physics Vol I and II -I.E. Irodov Problems in General Physics -Halliday, Resnick & Walker Fundamentals of Physics -Sears and Zemansky University Physics -Nelkon and Parker Advanced Level Physics |
